Independence, Missouri Program for the Academically and Creatively Talented
IMPACT is designed to introduce students to new areas of learning outside the scope of the regular classroom curriculum. This district program also develops skills in complex and creative thinking to develop independent learners. IMPACT is an accelerated, instructional supplement to help enrich the student’s growth and development to maximize his/her fullest potential.
Mrs. Bonner
Hello! My name is Mrs. Bonner. This is my 14th year of teaching gifted. I have taught for the Independence School District for over 25 years. I became interested in gifted education when both of my children were identified as gifted. I love teaching gifted because our classes dig deeper into topics that are not covered in the regular classroom like chemistry, algebra, and geography using Google Earth!

Mrs. Godinez
Hello! I am Mrs. Godinez (Mrs.G). I love teaching ISD's gifted students through the IMPACT program. Previously, I was an Art Teacher with ISD for 10 years, so I have an extensive background in the arts. I also love teaching Science and other STEAM topics. When I was in elementary school I was in our school's gifted program. I have so many fond memories of that time and it excites me to be able to do the same for ISD's gifted students! |
